Just read the whole story at one pass. Quite impressed. The one thing that jumps into my mind is that the only obvious story to maintain the ending you gave the whole arc is the justice served cold to Lily when she returns, fresh-faced and beautiful to the land of her birth. (or an encounter where she meets him by happenstance in a far off land, by fate he recognizes her but she doesn’t recognize him initially) Her come-uppance - that Jamie will have nothing to do with the re-youthed version of her as she lets slip the source of regeneration was at the cost of another. The happy ending for Lily would have been to encounter him at her advanced years and spend a few happy years of unencumbered true love verses the ironic ending of her living through regenerated youth of body, including lacking a regeneration of youth of spirit out through to an old age, sentencing her to a long, lonely existence. (I think I just wrote fanfic for this, sorry)

Hey, thanks for everything you said! Though I do like the idea, I can’t use it because when Lily became a full blooded witch, she extended her life (I think somewhere in the story I mentioned that she had been alive for a thousand years at least. So Jaime is dead.

Out of curiosity, how is Nitschke pronounced? My brain keeps trying to pronounce it as “Nietzsche”

Regarding how to pronounce my name:
Nitch - kee.
Technically, the last syllable should be “kuh” but it’s been Americanized so “kee” it shall remain.
