Live Journal Icons Part 1
Inspiration is still at an all time low. So I’ve decided to change something about it. I’ve decided to write something about my icons every day until I’ve used them all up. I doubt they’ll be works of genius, but they aren’t supposed to be. Here are the first few.

55 word story:
There’s a girl I see sometimes and she holds a black umbrella above her head. She smiles as she walks among rushing people whose steps pitter patter on the streets, whose voices drop large and little words like rain.
I hope she’ll put the umbrella over my head, so that they’re but wind to me.

Poem
Beware the vicious cabaret!
The lines that bid, the notes that scream,
Beware the vicious cabaret!
Masks that smile and puppets on strings.
Dispatch your fear with bombs and words.
Throw away small and happy lies.
Forget them, as if you ne’er heard.
Break your bonds — don’t forget to cry.
Let’s grow a rose for me and you
To put on innocent’s broken graves.
And remember those who ne’er knew,
Our vengeance on puppeteer knaves.
Shh! Do you hear a single sound?
So silent is the people’s voice.
As they trudge on the scarlet ground.
Break it and let us make a noise
That booms and crashes ‘round their ears
That makes the people turn and stare
While the puppeteer quakes in fear,
And reminds them they wouldn’t dare.
It’s too late now, they’ve heard the noise
Madame Justice is who they scorn.
Who’s spread her legs for uniformed boys.
Anarchy — bastard son — was born.
We shall for freedom gladly die,
Gunpowder, treason, and plot,
We’ll set off fireworks in the sky,
And never ever be forgot.
Hmm. My poetry is a bit rusty. Been….mmmm five to six years I think. And it took ages to write and it’s still a bit rough in patches.

Haiku
Blank and open eyes
Circles on butterfly wings
A mask pretending.
